Chinese Beauty Scroll Painting – Silk Wall Art – Garden Palace

This is a Chinese Beauty Chinese scroll painting in the truest sense — a classical Chinese beauty, painted to be lived with. Painters never tired of the Chinese beauty, and looking at this scroll, neither will you. Study it a while and palace, figures and pavilion emerge from the background, each one carefully observed.

The classical brushwork manner suits the subject perfectly — ink and light color in the literati manner. Like much classical Chinese art, it carries a wish inside the image — the pavilion is the scholar's retreat — a place for wine, poetry and friends. A deep winter calm runs through it: spare branches, motionless air, the patience of the cold months. The silk ground lends the palette a gentle, matte richness — kind to the subject matter.

For a housewarming, it carries more meaning than most gifts — especially for a brushwork enthusiast. Choose a spot with a slow pace — the study, the tea corner, the hallway between rooms. It is a fine example of palace and figures Chinese painting, the kind of piece that grows on you.
