Flower and Bird Chinese Scroll Painting – Silk Wall Art – Red Seals Plum Blossom

This silk wall-hanging scroll presents Red Seals Plum Blossom, a flower and bird subject rendered in the classical Chinese manner. A classic hanging format — silk field, mounted with wooden rollers — ready for the wall, plum blossom and all. Collectors of this kind of work will recognize a solid flower and bird Chinese scroll painting in the red seals and ink wash. The lower half takes its cue from bamboo, while the eye travels upward. A deep breath in scroll form.

The eye moves from plum blossom to red seals without a hitch. The ink wash work is confident without being flashy — exactly right for classical Chinese flower and bird wall art. It has the composure of something that knows it's good. A resting place for the eye in the bamboo. Understated in the best sense.

Equally at home in a modern living room or a traditional interior. New collectors: start with something you love looking at in your own living room. This qualifies. Red Seals Plum Blossom closes the case — a traditional Chinese silk wall hanging with nothing to prove. Take it home; it behaves well.
