Landscape Chinese Scroll Painting – Silk Wall Art – Mount Fuji Ukiyo-E

If landscape subjects are your thing, this silk wall-hanging scroll of Mount Fuji Ukiyo-E is worth a long look. Silk gives the brushwork a soft glow you don't get from paper — Mount Fuji included. Collectors of this kind of work will recognize a solid traditional Chinese landscape painting in the wave and boats. The artist gives birds real attention, and it pays off in depth. Good bones, honest brushwork.

Between ukiyo-e and pine, the composition finds its rhythm. Color does the talking here: Mount Fuji laid on with restraint, the mark of Chinese landscape painting for home decor done well. The scroll breathes at its own pace. Let it set yours. Small accents of wave keep the composition from feeling too solemn. Walls this calm are hard to find.

Hang it in the study and watch the space settle. Teachers of Chinese culture could do worse for a classroom wall or a quiet study. Mount Fuji Ukiyo-E closes the case — a Chinese silk painting for home decor with nothing to prove. Your walls will thank you.
