Sun Wei Chinese Painting Print – Tea Drinking Scholars

Start with the Tea Drinking Scholars — everything else in this print is arranged around it, the way Sun Wei intended — exactly what this kind of classical Chinese wall art should be. It comes the way print collectors like it: a loose huaxin sheet, unmounted. The painting follows old models closely — a respectful study in the classical manner.

Scholars leads, figures follows, and tea drinking fills out the background, a strong Chinese home decor print by any measure. There’s also pine and rock worked into the scene. This is a format for looking the way you read — progressively, patiently. Where scholars gather in a painting, the subject is really the cultivated life. Pines stand for longevity and resolve; painters never used them casually.

An easy gift for the hard-to-buy-for: beautiful, meaningful, and flat for shipping — a fine Chinese brush painting print. A calm, grown-up image for rooms that have outgrown posters.
