Wu Daozi Chinese Painting Print – Kongzi Standing Figure

Bold where it counts, spare everywhere else: that’s Wu Daozi, and that’s this Kongzi Standing Figure — a fine Chinese art print for framing. Sold as the printed core alone, this huaxin leaves every mounting decision to you.

You get Confucius in the foreground, Kongzi behind it, and white on black tying them together, a strong Chinese home decor print by any measure. Supporting details include rubbing and standing figure. Reproduced from a stone rubbing, the characters carry the texture of carved stone. The sage’s portrait is a reminder hung on the wall: character first. Wu Daozi, the Tang ‘Sage of Painting,’ was legend even in his own lifetime. The composition uses empty space the way the old masters did: as an active part of the image.

It belongs in the room where you do your best thinking — a traditional Chinese painting reproduction with real substance. Scholars hung such sheets in their studios; your home office is the modern equivalent.
