Fish Chinese Scroll Painting – Silk Wall Art – Koi Butterfly Peony

This is a Fish Chinese scroll painting in the truest sense — fish gliding through clear water, painted to be lived with. It is the fish that holds the eye first; everything else in the scroll plays supporting role. What makes it work are the particulars: peony, koi and butterfly, painted with a light, sure touch.

As a fish silk wall art, it sits comfortably alongside much older pieces without feeling like a copy. People who collect this genre will read the meaning at once — butterflies speak of joy, love and a light heart. No passage feels labored. Peony shows exactly as much as needed, and no more. One cord, one nail: the scroll hangs flat and true, in the time-honored fashion. Hang it where conversation happens — it gives people something worth talking about.

A dependable gift for someone growing a Chinese art collection — or just beginning one. If you collect fish pieces, this one earns its place.
