Jin Gu Chinese Painting Print – Nushi Zhen Tu Court Ladies

The Nushi Zhen Tu Court Ladies sits at the heart of the composition, exactly where Jin Gu would have put it. This is a huaxin print — the printed core of a classical painting, sold as a loose sheet with no mounting. Without a documented artist, the composition itself does the talking — and it talks well.

Court ladies, figures, Nushi Zhen Tu: the classic trio, handled with restraint, the kind of unmounted Chinese painting print worth framing well. Look again and you’ll spot handscroll and calligraphy tucked into the composition. The inscription carries the painter’s voice as surely as the image carries the hand. The panorama reads in sections, each one a small painting on its own. Court ladies, painted in the old manner, are elegance as a discipline.

Gift it to the calligraphy student — they’ll study it for years — a fine Chinese art print for framing. Hang it where conversations happen; it gives people something worth discussing.
